Maria KeaneNational player Nadiem Amiri from Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen is looking for a new challenge on the Apennines. The 25-year-old is on loan to Italian first division side FC Genoa until the end of the current season.
“Nadiem didn’t get the playing times he had promised himself. That’s why we understand his change ambitions and wish him every success in Serie A,” commented Leverkusen’s sporting director Simon Rolfes on the change.
The German coach Alexander Blessin (48) has been with the Ligurian club since last week.
Amiri came to Leverkusen from TSG Hoffenheim in 2019, where he is still under contract until 2024. In the current season he has played in 20 competitive games and recorded two goals and two assists.
